The Clash of Titans

A lone adult male Eurasian greater tyrant (Tyrannosaurus rex eurasiaticus) found a dead body of an Eastern flatbill (Edmontosaurus annectens orientalis) lying on the flood plain. It didn't get to enjoy this meal for long when a Pensivion daggerjaws (Machairoganthus pensiviorensis) showed up. The gigantic daggerjaws doesn't normally compete with the smaller tyrant for its main diet almost entirely consists of the large-bodied, long-necked sauropods. This one however, had arrived too early in its winter residence, way ahead of its still migrating preys. Driven by hunger, the daggerjaws had no other choice but to try its luck, stealing the greater tyrant's prey.

In rare case like this, mating pair of greater tyrant normally dominates over their bigger cousin, being much more robust in proportion and more aggressive. However, this male tyrant was alone and he is a small one even among his own kind. The situation shifted to the daggerjaws's favor this time...

Here is an interaction between my fictional T. rex and Machairognathus. They don't normally fight like something out of Jurassic World though, but when they do it's probably an interesting scene to behold.

Also, I will be using made up common name for these fictional dinosaurs more in the future. I also redesigned the Machairo a bit to go with the new design of my T. rex as well.
